Saltwater fishing memories

Sea fishing collection videos since 2012. These are some of the unforgettable moments for an angler,be it big wave, sea sick, zero bite or weird incidents...bad day fishing is always better than a good day in the office...unless your office was a fishing boat in Paradise.

In this fishing video memory, some favourite fishes like Spanish Mackerel or Tenggiri in Malay, Cobia or Haruan Tasik and Barracuda or Alu Alu are the common catches around Kuching, Sarawak water at the South China Sea.

They can be caught with artificial lures like metal jig or diving minnow or simply live or dead bait like small shiny fish.Tenggiri or Spanish Mackerel required fast retrieving lure technic to catch and they make good eating fish.

Haruan Tasik or Cobia is a very high cardio fish and always give a long fight. They normally can give a sudden dive even after brought to the surface several times. The meat is underated but they can make very good sashimi !

While Barracuda is probably one of the most co-operative fishes. They attack anything that move passing their hunting territories !

Not the best eating fish in any cooking style but they can make very good dry salty fish.

Sea Fishing ,Kuching ,Sarawak for Tenggiri by Jigging

The first fishing trip of the year. The weather was good during the day, just a little bit of strong wind during the night, but did not last long or creating big wave.

Only one strike during the jigging session in the evening but the sharp tooth Mackerel cut the mono leader. Once changed to wire leader, they seem to shy away.
First fish landed during the bottom fishing at night was a sea catfish...and most of the fish later were the same species. Only one coral shark landed ,the rest snap the line. And a bonus barracuda later on.
The jigging and casting session in the next morning near the Satang Island bear no result so we headed back home to the land.
Not the best trip ever but somehow we manage to have fun and enjoy being in the middle of the sea again after about seven months!
Till next trip!!...

Fighting the Mike Tyson of the sea | Giant Trevally fishing

Fighting the Mike Tyson of the sea. Some call this fish the muscle car of the ocean.
Giant Trevally fishing is one of the most challenging kind of fishing, especially when you use the artificial lure popping or stick bait technic. They are full of energy, speed and cardio. They normally hunting near rocky area or man made structure like oil rigs, making it harder for the anglers to land them. These challenging areas normally cut the leader or the main line which resulting the anglers are at the losing end most of the time. But a strike is always worth fighting and a victory for the angler is deserve a celebration.
Make fishing great again!!

Island popping for GT

Most places in Borneo you have to cast hundreds or thousands times before you get a strike for a decent size GT...and for 'bonus'...you 'need' to miss couple of this 'muscle car of the sea' before you can land one...that is probably the reason why we are so content with this trophy...๐Ÿ˜Š
